Moral Opinion
After entering recovery we begin to take a different opinion of this embarrassing mental disorder. We become convinced that only through waving the white rag are we able to take our first steps toward crime free living and the cure.
Our admission of personal powerlessness finally turn out to be firm bricks upon which happy and purposeful lives may be built. We begin our journey meeting so called normal people who know very little of street life and its aligned illness. Many live humble successful lives. Their idea of life is spot on. They often give great advice. Except…when it comes to us as recovering gangsters.
Their moral walk is often littered by very few obstacles. Our walk has obstacle after obstacle. Therefore WE must examine each suggestion carefully. We ask our sponsor. We bounce our idea off the minds of as many recovering gangsters as necessary until we are comfortable with the perfect decision. That one decision that fits the individual.
